This apartment in Caxias, Oeiras, is unique for being on the top floor of a very old building, which has a slanted ceiling. This feature defines the entire interior design project from the outset. For example, passage areas have to be ensured in places where the ceiling height is higher, meaning beds, sofas, or other large furniture pieces must be placed in areas with lower ceilings. In the dining room, creating a functional layout was a challenge. The table, with a marble top and an iron base (custom-made in Portugal), was centered with the window to gain height and allow seating around it. The original wooden floor was only sanded and varnished. The entire house was painted in the same shade of gray, which contrasts with the white of the baseboards, window frames, and doors. The handles were chosen in a darkened brass color, as this tone better suits a house with antique character. The rugs bring a lot of comfort and were used throughout the space, including the hallway. On the walls, you can see paintings by various Portuguese artists such as Teresa Rego, Beatriz Moura, Hugo van der Ding, and Sílvia Perloiro. Despite having small windows and a slanted ceiling, this apartment is quite bright, which allows for the use of dark furniture pieces without creating heavy atmospheres. The selective use of decorative objects in vibrant colors adds life to the spaces. At the same time, since these are occasional objects, it allows for frequent changes in decoration and the overall atmosphere of the home.

Este apartamento em Caxias, Oeiras, tem a particularidade de ser o último andar de um prédio muito antigo, e por isso tem o tecto esconso. Esta característica define todo projeto de design de interiores logo à partida, por exemplo, os sítios de passagem têm de ser garantidos nas zonas onde o pé direito é mais alto, ou seja, camas, sofás ou outras peças de grande mobiliário têm de estar nas zonas onde o tecto é mais baixo. Na sala de jantar, definir um layout que funcionasse, foi um desafio. A mesa, com tampo em mármore e base em ferro (produzida à medida em Portugal), foi centrada com a janela, para ganhar espaço em altura, e para que fosse possível sentar pessoas em todo o seu redor. O pavimento, original, em madeira, foi apenas afagado e envernizado. Toda a casa foi pintada no mesmo tom de cinzento, que contrasta com o branco dos rodapés, aduelas e portas. Os puxadores foram escolhidos com cor de latão escurecido, por ser um tom que melhor se adequa a uma casa com caráter antigo. Os tapetes trazem muito conforto e foram utilizados em todos os espaços, incluindo no corredor. Nas paredes podem observar-se quadros de vários artistas portugueses como: Teresa Rego, Beatriz Moura, Hugo van der Ding ou Sílvia Perloiro. Apesar de ter janelas pequenas e tecto esconso, este apartamento é bastante luminoso, o que permite utilizar peças de mobiliário escuras sem criar ambientes pesados. A utilização pontual de objetos decorativos com muita cor dá muita vida aos espaços. Ao mesmo tempo, por serem objetos pontuais, permite variar com frequência a decoração e todo o ambiente da casa.
